First Day of Band

What I really want to know is whose bright idea it was to take a band class first thing in the morning at a location 57 minutes south of my house without traffic (OK, it was mine, but no one should have to brave LA freeways at 7:00 in the morning, really. What was I thinking again?). The good news is that the boys loved it, so it was worth it. :)

Taz and I brought things to do and camped out in the back of the suburban. We had a great time until the temp hit 102. We do have Fall in So Cal, right??

My boys before they went in. I think Crawdad was more wrestling his french horn case than carrying it. Giggle.

Crawdad and his french horn--his first instrument (not counting piano). He was sooo excited to be able to play in band this year. :)

Yeah, that's pretty much my feelings on things this time of morning too, kid :P

Cub and his sax :)

The band director came out to tell me that I have awesome boys after it was over. Gotta love that. :) Then the boys went back in and took the beginning drums class. Waiting to see how long before someone hits me up for a drum set.....

  1. You are a saint. I can't imagine driving that far in LA. Your boys definitely look happy though. :-)
