Back to School, really

Today started our school year back full-tilt. No more light schedules, getting our feet wet with the new curriculum while still taking half days and beach days (Well, OK, there will likely still be beach days, just not quite as many. We do only live 25 minutes away, after all!). Band and Co-op are starting, summer Bible Clubs have ended, the calendar page reads September--all indications that summer is officially over. I'm ignoring the fact that the thermometer read 98 this afternoon.

Bible on the couch.

Bible on the top bunk.

Taz started Get Ready for the Code yesterday. She's doing very well with it!

We are using Pathways for Preschool as part of Taz's curriculum this year. She loves looking under the barn doors to find letters, numbers, and shapes.

Cub helping Taz put the sun in the sky on her barn poster for the weather portion of her studies. I tend to wonder if she'll get to use a different icon than the sun this year. :P Also, I should have taken a pic (or a video!) of him making her stuffed cat sing Old MacDonald with her. That was a hoot! :)

Everyone felt the need to get in on the action when it came time for Taz to make thumbprint sheep. :)

A few manipulatives to keep a busy girl occupied while her brothers are doing their own work.

The Giver on the floor.

Apparently, she thought reading on her brother looked like a good idea. :P

Cub's finished RTR notebooking pages from Unit 2. I love what a great keepsake these are going to be when he's done.

Taz got tired of spelling her own name and asked how to spell mine. She can write it, too. Impressive girl! :)

Look, he can sit at the table! :P

  1. I LOVE the one of Taz sitting on her brother in the sleeping bag! Too funny!

I just drool every time I see those HOD notebooking pages. (Sigh...wonder if I can convince DS to go that way next year) ;-)
