Yeah, I think this pic of Crawdad pretty much sums up our week this week:  laid back. :) Papa Bear was in Ireland on business, and we passed the time by taking a few more field trip days than usual. Wednesday was a library/park day and Thursday was the zoo. Friday was just a regular old school day, though. :)

Crawdad did some history reading.

Cub did some sketching for his Co-op art class. I liked this one (above)--he's making a sketch of his sketch book with a drawing of a ball (they are working on making circular objects look 3D). I thought that was creative. :) He made a 92 on his science quiz (right), which overjoyed him, as he now doesn't have to take the chapter test because he made an A on all three quizzes. He also did some map work and turned in his final drafts of his rabbit paper and Giver chart (below).

Taz got to use something besides the sun during the weather portion of her preschool. We actually had dark grey clouds and a touch of rain. She made a sponge paint pic of a sunny sky, and then did a few of her Abeka workbook pages. She talked me into that super cute peacock (below) on our zoo trip. She refuses to believe it's a peacock, though. She's pretty insistant. It's a chicken. Giggle.

Mapwork
Crawdad added to his timeline.
Cub's history project this unit in RTR is to do a grid drawing of a monastery.

This is what happens when you aren't paying attention and you place your animals in the wrong boxes.  He had to start over (see pic above), but not wanting to waste his cute little animals, he decided this one would make a lovely petting zoo. Goofy kid. :P
