OK, I admit it: until I went to get my hair cut, and the stylist commented on how busy it was because of the holiday, I didn't even know it
was Columbus Day. Now, in fairness to me, my kids don't go to school, and Papa Bear doesn't work for a bank so really, there wasn't a whole lot in the way of reminder. Besides, we have so many days and months set aside
for something anymore that I can't keep up (it would probably help if I were trying :P). Not to mention, we've already studied Columbus....repeatedly.....he really didn't need our attention again today. :P
Coincidentally, however, we had already decided to take today off....sort of. Really, what we had decided to do was slide our schedule a bit since Papa Bear is out of town until Sunday so that our school week will run Tuesday-Saturday this week instead of Mon-Fri.
So today consisted of finding costumes (we now have a Ninja, a kitty cat,
MasterChief, and a bumblebee--that would be me--Taz insisted :P),
getting me a haircut, our usual Karate and boxing, and some morning
tennis. We just started playing tennis this past weekend, so we spend
more time chasing the balls than hitting them, but hey, it's still
exercise, right? :)

| Get it, Cub! |

| Crawdad keeping Taz occupied while Cub and I played. |
 |
| Just to prove I was on the court. :P |
 |
| Giggly Crawdad. :) |
Tennis was the only unit of gym that I actually failed. :P Looks like you're all having fun though!
