In school this week, Cub:
*Alternated reading Psalms and Proverbs 4 days and did 2 lessons in Practical Happiness
*Took a quiz in Pre-Algebra (and made an 85) and moved on to learning about exponents with negatives
*Completed 4 days of HOD RTR with extensions. We had some pretty lively discussions about King Henry VIII and all of his wives and the religious climate at that time.
*Did 4 lessons in Anatomy (he's refusing to call it Forensics anymore until they actually start teaching forensics. Currently, he's still learning body systems.)
*Worked through 3 lessons of CLE grammar, made a 94 on his Literature quiz, completed the Unit Review, and then made a 93 on the Unit Test. He also read Taming of the Shrew, which he thought was one of the less horrid of Shakespeare's plays. :P
*Worked on his weapon's form, practiced piano and Sax, learned about perspective in Art, reviewed what we've learned so far in Logic, and had sealants painted on his permanent teeth
This week Crawdad:
*Read 4 days in his Day by Day Bible and listened to me read to him one day about the parables of Jesus
*Completed 4 days of MUS math, taking a quiz (95) and reviewing Greatest Common Factors
*Did 3 days of HOD history
*Read about jellyfish in his nature reader (He was thoroughly annoyed that there were only two sections on jellyfish, but there had been almost a dozen sections on beetles.), finally finished John Audobon and learned a bit about songbirds.
*Read 4 lessons in his BJU reader and did the accompanying worksheets, copied and illustrated Four Things by Henry Van Dyke, listened as we finished reading aloud Humphry and started Benjamin West and His Cat Grimalkin, which is really good so far :)
*practiced piano and French Horn, worked on his weapon's form, and sat through about a gazillion episodes of Curious George with his sister

Taz enjoyed playing Fire Station Dalmation with her brother (above). She also completed SL PreK week 7, Singapore Earlybird Math A Units 5 and 6, several Go For the Code pages, and did a great job in speech therapy. :)

To the right is what happens when you are running dishwater and your oldest son yells at you to put the dog in the backyard because he's scaring the stray cat your children have adopted and after you do that you grab a can of food for said cat and take it out front, completely forgetting the running water. We almost had a very large mess. :P

Wednesday night at our house when AWANA is on Spring Break. :) We were playing Mexican Train dominoes. Notice the stack of dominoes in the center? That's actually a train leg--we just sort of ran out of table. :P
Below, Taz plays with clay in my lap because she's still just a smidge too young for the dominoes.
Tonight, we will read the Exodus story and play a board game or two. Happy Good Friday!
