Papa Bear had to be in Boston this year over Easter weekend, so Cub took over the reading of the Passover story from Exodus on Good Friday. Taz, while not yet old enough to really be cognizant of her own soul, was however very pleased that Jesus dying meant that no more sheep had to be sacrificed for our sins. Someday, she'll understand the gift of Salvation. Right now, it's just sweet that she's concerned for the sheep. :)
I love this picture. My tiny daughter regularly climbs up on chairs, beds, and cabinets so that she can look her 5'10 big brother right in the eye and make sure she has his undivided attention. And then she tells him exactly what's on her mind. :)

Decorating eggs. We used the regular dye tabs for some of them, but also used Q-tips to draw on a few. Right is Cub's silly face egg. I added purple polka dots to it later, just to be silly. :P Below, Crawdad drew a bunny.
Above, the finished products. :) We have (from the top) Cub's silly face, a cat sticker, the Bible, Jonah and the whale, a dog sticker, a likeness of the stray cat Ginger we seem to have adopted, a purple Moocowpig (that one's for you, Jo :P), Taz's egg, the Cross, and Crawdad's bunny.

Happy Easter, y'all. He is risen indeed!
Oooh you were sneaky with those eggs! ;-)
ReplyDeleteOur kids just got one basket this year - but it took Joe almost 1/2 hour to find it. (I hid it in a bookcase BEHIND some books!) Heh heh heh.
Taz looks beautiful in her dress, and I LOVE that pic of her face to face with Cub.
