A Regular Day

Today was just another school day. :) I'm noticing, as I look through pictures of our days, that we must have the best educated stuffed animals on the planet because some stuffed, furry critter or another (or several) is always doing school with us. :)

Below, Crawdad helps Taz determine which container is better for holding water: a cup or a sieve. I didn't take a pic of her pouring water into the sieve while it was NOT over the sink and half drowning poor Crawdad, but I probably should have. :P

Taz is currently very, VERY into how the body functions, specifically skeletons, lungs, heart, skin, and now kidneys. She caught the body function bug from a School House Rock video, so I bought her this My Body for Kids book, which completely fascinates her. And yes, those are tiny Lego skeletons reading the book next to her. :P

Above, Crawdad carries Taz around on his back while she gives him directions. He was trying to teach her right from left. He did a pretty good job. :) They went all over the house with her using only the words right, left, forward, and backward.

Below is a stuffed nerve cell that Aunt bought Cub for Christmas. He thought it was pretty cool today when he read about nerves during his forensic science study, and there was a picture that looked very similar to his Christmas cuddly. :)

Taz drawing beans and a beanstalk. Pretty sure this drawing choice is a direct result of watching Puss and Boots with her brothers. :P

Crawdad the Caterpillar. What more can I say about that? Giggle.

  1. We just watched Puss in Boots, too - LOL.
Now all of my kids are 'dance fighting' (insert eye-roll here.)

That stuffed nerve cell is so cute! We used to have a stuffed kidney and stomach, (given to us by a friend who was a pharmaceutical rep that sold meds for those particular parts.)
