So, this post is actually a mini-review (because I can't remember everything) of week before last, which would be the week before Spring Break.
Two weeks ago, Cub:
*Did 4 days of independent Bible reading about Saul and 2 lessons in Practical Happiness
*Completed 3 Pre-Algebra lessons and made a 90 on his quiz on multiplying negative numbers
*Completed 3 days of HOD history with extensions
*Learned about reflection and refraction in Co-op physical science, and did 3 lessons in his forensic science course
*Read 3 lessons in CLE lit and completed 3 lessons in CLE grammar
*Started memorizing I'm Nobody, Who Are You? by Emily Dickinson, discovered he likes Michelangelo's sculptures, passed his Trek verses (and realized he knows more history than most of that particular youth group--Marco Polo is apparently only a pool game--egad *rolling eyes), passed to get to move to Intermediate Band with flying colors, and earned his Orange Belt
Two weeks ago, Crawdad:
*Read his Bible independently and listened to me read several Bible stories to him (but I don't remember how many of which :P)
*Did 3 lessons in Horizon's Math 5 (stretching out MUS so he doesn't hit Pre-Algebra until 6th grade at least)
*Did 3 days of HOD history
*Had fun in physical science in Co-op, continued reading about ants in his nature reader and began reading about flies (gross!)
*Read 3 days in his BJU reader and completed the worksheets, did 3 days of grammar, completed Step 3 in All About Spelling
*Convinced me that it was educationally sound to watch the Veggie Tales version of Esther after he read about her in his reader (thus the popcorn pic :P)
*Had fun in band (he might not be ready for intermediate band yet, his director says, and we're both OK with that :)), passed half his AWANA verses (tough review section), and earned his Green Belt. He is now an Intermediate Rank. Go Crawdad! :)
Taz completed SL PreK Week 1, worked on recognizing numbers 11-20,
enjoyed Time4learning.com, and did about a million Abeka worksheets. :P
Taz absolutely LOVED this activity from her Developing the Early Learner book. We were supposed to place 4 items on the table. She looked at them for a few seconds, then closed her eyes while I removed one. She then had to look at what was left and tell me what I had removed and circle the removed item on the page. She thought it was great fun. :)
