Since the road trip...

We've been enjoying light school days (math only, really...and some reading) and some holiday fun since our return from Texas. The boys had their Christmas band concert, where they both played beautifully. :)

Taz at her brothers' concert

Crawdad on the French Horn

Cub on the Sax. I left my camera at home like a dummy, so these pics were taken with my phone.

We dug out the Christmas decorations and had fun putting them up. There is something to be said for real trees, though (no assembly required). :P

Getting the ornaments up. I love our ornaments. :) Many of them are sentimental and have been on our trees for years. I even have a few that are mine from childhood (which I didn't even think to get close ups of).

All done, except for the star and a few very special ornaments, which we saved to do with Papa Bear when he made it back from his Korea trip.

A very jet lagged Papa Bear helps Taz put the star on top. :)

Crawdad and Cub each have a special star they put on the tree, as well.

Papa Bear and I put our "Our First Christmas" ornament on together. :)

We also battled the sickies a bit. :( That is one pitiful Taz, let me tell you. She and the boys spent several days just laying around with headaches, sore throats, and stuffy noses.

She did perk up enough to help Mama make mini donuts this afternoon, though. :)

A masterpiece! :)

She's also really enjoying playing with her little nativity set and her little brightly colored Christmas trees. I took the pic below just for my mother because Taz was having a great time putting the little animals in the trees. Look, Mama, all her cows are in her tree! :P

Our plans for the rest of the week are a Karate belt test for the boys, more math, a mini government unit, maybe some health, and some Christmas projects. Pics will follow, I am sure. :)
