Random Week Off Stuff

We've been enjoying a pretty low-key holiday season. :) What follows is a random collection of pictures, in no particular order, of what we've been doing while we haven't been schooling.

 Left is a picture of me being a goofball. Yes, I know it's Cub in the pic. He's holding a game that he got as an early Christmas gift. The only reason he got it early is because, you guessed it, his Mama is a goof. :P I have the boys make Christmas lists by logging on to my Amazon account and adding things to their wish lists. Then I order their gifts from that. Occasionally, I forget which kid has requested which gift. *rolling eyes at self* Cub asked me to tell him the things I had gotten Crawdad for Christmas, and I listed this game. He responded with, "Uh, Ma? That was supposed to be for me." Ooops. Well, since he already knew we owned it, I let him go ahead and have it early. He's laughing at me in the pic. Silly Mama. Hey, don't laugh, kid. Not only did you get an extra gift, but you got it early! :P

The boys also had belt tests during our Christmas break. They both did very well, despite colds, and passed with flying colors. :)

Yep, that's my apron that Crawdad is wearing below. That child attracts dirt like a magnet attracts metal, so when he was dressed 15 minutes before we needed to leave for their testing, I decided it was in his best interest to help him stay clean. Besides, he was about to go brush his teeth, and I had images of having to explain to Grand Master Pak why one of his orange belts had blue toothpaste stains down the front of his shirt. :P

 Crawdad doing the splits and some sort of kick. I was very impressed when they did a high kick competition later, and Crawdad showed he can hit 5'9 with his feet.

 Taz decided to do a little painting yesterday. She made a star like the one that shone over Baby Jesus and then painted the sky around it. She also painted a picture that looked a bit like modern art. Picasso's got nothing on my girl. :P

Yes, the pic below is my nails. I know it's silly to post a picture of my fingers and toes, but my sister (who is visiting for Christmas) and I went to get our nails done today, and we thought the little snowmen that Michelle (who did our nails) painted were soooo cute that I just had to take a picture. Those little snowmen just make me smile. :)

Crawdad stole his aunt's laptop. It's her own fault--she brought a new game and showed it to him. :P

We are looking forward to spending the next week with Papa Bear, who is off for the holidays, and to celebrating Christmas with him and my sister. Merry Christmas Eve, y'all. :) Don't forget to remember the Baby, born of a virgin, placed in a manger, heralded by angels, Son of Almighty God, Savior to the world.
