Taz turns 7!

I blinked. I must have. Because it was just a minute ago that my baby was just that....a baby. An itty bitty, wrinkly miracle with a wild tuft of blackbrown hair, outweighed by the monster pack of tortillas we had sitting in the fridge the day I brought her home, protected by the hands of her loving God, with her own take on the world, even then. And now here I sit, listening to her chatter incessantly, stubbornly determined to bend the world to her will, my beautiful, brilliant, loving, impossible daughter, and I'm about to post up pics of her SEVENTH birthday. How exactly did that happen? Obviously, I blinked.

We started with family presents. As I had been hiding them in her room for her to wake up and find for a few days, we didn't have many left by her actual birthday, so we (rather lamely, I'll admit :P) just handed them to her unwrapped. She didn't seem to mind too much.

Then, as it was Super Bowl Sunday, we headed to church, then to lunch, then to a Super Bowl party. The real fun for Little Miss transpired on Tuesday, when we descended on a local bouncy house place for party fun with friends. What follows are a few of the 170 pics I wound up with that day, in no particular order and probably without much explanation. Suffice it to say that we all had a blast. It was a very happy birthday for my girl indeed. :)

Ready, Set, Go!

I don't think he's supposed to land this way....

The idea is to run up the slippery side and snag the flags. You are required to keep your socks on, which makes it way more entertaining. :P

You can also leap...

Or throw your daughter toward the flag...

Landings are not his strong suit. :P

Trying to make a ladder to the top

And winding up in a heap at the bottom. :D

He finally got one!!

Yeah, I so lost the obstacle course race. :P

His turn for the wacky landing

I am entirely too old for this. :P

So much fun....and so done. :)

Off to the party room for cake and presents!

Because Crawdad wanted it. :)

Rainbow flower cake made with all natural vegetable dye. Maybe someday I'll post THAT story...

Learning all about helium :P

And static electricity...see her evil grin?

And his? :P
Happy Birthday, Baby!! Thank You, Father, for the blessing of really great friends. :)
