I was trying to take a pic of the stack of schoolbooks that litter the bar each morning as I organize what Crawdad and Taz will do that day (Cub has his own list and gets his books himself. Ahh, the joy of the independence of teenagers! :)), but Crawdad thought that was boring, and so decided to spice the pic up a bit by popping in at the last minute. Little goofball. :)
This week Crawdad:
*Talked me into letting him play Wizard101 before school (pic to the right) :P
*Read 4 days in his Bible and listened as we finished Who is God? and moved into Who am I?
*Worked 5 pre-algebra sheets
*Completed 4 days of HOD history (including a written narration that he swore was going to kill him) and listened to Adopted by Indians as part of CA history
*Read and notebooked HOD's desert science, reviewing how bats transfer pollen and freaking me out with all the poisonous critters dwelling in deserts, like giant centipedes (which invaded one of my dreams, wherein I broke my phone, but saved Lightning), and learned the difference between real seals, eared seals, and sea lions in Apologia's swimming creatures book
*Finished 3 days of grammar, one friendly letter (pretending he was Gladys Aylward) , and 4 lessons in BJU reading
*Passed his AWANA verses, went to Karate twice, attended band, and learned cool new pieces on the piano

This week Cub:
*Read 5 days in his Bible and devo book and completed 5 days of SL Bible
*Read 5 days of SL Church history
*Improved on his algebra worksheets by the end of the week. After 5 days, he managed a solid B on today's assignment. :)
*Completed 3 days of Chemistry and took a quiz, scoring 96%, and read 3 sections of his archeology reader
*Worked through 3 grammar lessons, wrote a short paper on Radar, did 2 spelling lessons, and continued to read Tom Sawyer
*Passed his Trek verses, went to Karate 3 times, attended band, did 4 Latin lessons, learned his own cool new pieces on the piano, and became Taz's official bedtime storyteller :)

| Taz enjoying the warm days and sunshine |
| She made a bow and arrow out of sticks and a leaf. :) |
This week Taz:
*Completed 3 days of LHFHG
*Learned the verse "Trust in the Lord and do good"
*Discussed tone and pitch in science (not sure she got these--volume, yes, but tone and pitch, maybe not. Oh well, we have many years left for such topics. :)), also reviewed the things a plant needs to grow
*Finished Abeka K math and started Abeka 1 math
*Read for herself the first part of the story of Moses in her Beginning Readers Bible
*Decided that when she grows up, she would like to be an astronaut so that she can see if aliens really exist. Then she would like to be a dentist.....with pink hair.
