Flight Line

Happy Birthday, my sweet Cub. :) Fourteen years ago last weekend, the doctor let me up on Wednesday morning after 4 weeks of bedrest, and by that evening God had blessed us with a beautiful, healthy, precious  baby boy.

We celebrated this year with cookie cake and presents....

...and crazy hats?

Even the dog got in on the fun. :P

Cub wanted pizza and a cookie cake--make to look like a pizza. I'm thinking the kid might like pizza. :P

He's unwrapped Crawdad's gift, which was a stuffed dog and not exactly wrapped to start with. Crawdad left the little thing's head sticking out so it could "see" what was going on. :P

He spent the afternoon constructing his new toys. :)
Crawdad is wrapping his gift to Cub. See how the pup's head isn't even in the wrapping paper? :P

And this would be Mudd Puddle trying to avoid any more encounters with that dadgummed hat. Giggle.

Then on Sunday, we went to the San Diego Safari Park.

Feeding the birds was fun for all (and I don't even like birds, but boy were the kids cute doing it. :))

Taz needed a little help keeping her hand still...and that particular bird was not being cooperative at all.

This one was much more interested in sharing our nectar. I'm not sure Taz knows quite what to think of the experience.

Facepaint. She makes a good cat. :)

The best part of the Safari Park that day, though, was......

The Flight Line :)

They all really enjoyed the flight line. Thank you to God and Papa Bear for providing for that experience. :)

"I thank my God every time I remember you.....being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion to the day of Jesus Christ....And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ--to the glory and praise of God."
Philippians 1:3, 6, 9-11

Happy Birthday, Son. I see you growing daily into such a sweet, responsible, God-fearing young man. I am so thankful for you. You make your Mama proud. :)
