Crafts!

The last couple of weeks have been full of all kinds of appointments....and all kinds of crafts. Taz is in serious craft mode. Every, let me repeat, every craft in the pic to the right was made by Taz during a 5-day period. I have other crafts planned for all of us to do this up-coming week, but nothing to rival the sheer magnitude of Taz's foam sticker spree, I am certain. :P

Below, Cub attempts to be a therapy swing.  The round swing at OT that allows Taz to lay down on her side and spin has such a calming effect that we thought we'd try to duplicate it at home. Not exactly the same results, but a valiant effort on Cub's part anyway.

Hard at work :)

Aaaaand this is what happens when your goofball teenage boy lays chocolate bars across his face. Why? I have no idea. Because it seemed like a good idea at the time, I suppose. Or because he's a goofball teenage boy. :P

Doesn't he look overjoyed to be doing math?

I used leftover Halloween cupcake holders to make cornbread one night, and Taz latched onto them. Who needs new toys? We have cupcake holders! I love her imagination. :)

I took this picture just because I loved his outfit. Orange shirt and red pants. It's only slightly worse than the green shirt and turquoise shorts his brother is wearing below. :P

I love the picture below. We were about to start together time, but I was still getting food ready, so Cub grabbed Crawdad's worldview book and led us in our family Christian studies for the day. And in my heart, I had the vision of him leading his own family in their Christian studies someday. Absolutely precious.

Crazy hat this day was.....his lunch plate. :P

Crawdad's pyramid drawing and his timeline cards. We have the Ice Age and the Tower of Babel.

To the right and below, Crawdad does his Preparing science demonstration. He's making a cactus out of clay and toothpicks to show how the spines aid the cactus in cooling and protecting it. Of course, Taz was not to be left out, although she felt like red was a better cactus color. :P

Somebody stayed up too late last night. :P

Crawdad is studying the beginnings of written language, so he's making cuneiform tablets and hieroglyphics, left. Of course, everyone joined in before the project was done. (Cub actually remembered this kit from when he was in 4th/5th grade. :))

He patched his jeans with duct tape. There's really nothing else I can say about that. :P

Taking assessment tests before the holiday break. They both did very well. :)
